The role of the Parent Teacher Association is to strengthen the link between home and school. We have several aims as follows:

• Fundraising:

With shrinking school budgets, it is becoming more and more essential to provide additional funds to enable our school to provide the best they can for our children. We have organised many fundraising events including Pub quizzes, raffles and book sales.

• Communication:

We provide an essential link to help keep parents informed with regular leaflets and updates on our Facebook page.

• Social:

As well as organising social events for our children, it provides a social outlet for parents. As a parent, you are automatically a member of Friends of Humshaugh First School and everyone is welcome to attend our meetings. We are a small school so we rely on every parent to contribute in what way they can, from baking cakes, buying raffle tickets or helping to organise events. We appreciate your support!
